The Journey
Logan Class didn’t grow up around big stages or city lights. He spent his time out West in Idaho and Wyoming, living life among the mountains and quiet back roads. Those open spaces really shaped how he sees things and the way he writes his music.
Logan was born in Pocatello, Idaho, and moved to Wyoming when he was seven. He lived in Laramie for a few years before his family eventually moved to Cody, where he finished high school. Growing up, he spent as much time as possible outside hunting, fishing, and just exploring the woods. Being out in the mountains was his way of getting away from it all and finding some quiet. That sense of peace he found in the wilderness is really what inspires the songs he writes and performs these days.
Logan first got into music back in grade school when some teachers came by to show off string instruments. He actually wanted to play the upright bass, but he wasn’t big enough yet, so he and a buddy decided to try the cello. It turned out he was pretty good at it right away, and he found that playing really helped him clear his head whenever things got stressful. Music became his way to relax and stay grounded. However, when his family moved from Laramie to Cody, there wasn't an orchestra for him to join, so he eventually stopped playing the cello.
When he turned fourteen, Logan started playing his grandfather’s old guitar that his dad had kept. It was pretty tough at first, but he stuck with it and taught himself how to play by learning songs from guys like Colter Wall and Tyler Childers. Eventually, things clicked and he started using the guitar to tell his own stories. His parents told him he should try singing too, so he randomly started an Instagram page and put up a Zach Bryan cover. His friends at school really liked it, so he kept posting more clips and began growing a nice group of followers.
